Meet CareySue.

CareySue Beasley, partnered with her husband Paul, and son, Alex, own and operate two small successful local businesses in Okaloosa County: Easy Vacation Services, a vacation rental management company, and the very popular Okaloosa Donuts. After spending two rewarding decades working in the nursing field and healthcare, CareySue transitioned her passion to serve others into the hospitality industry. She welcomes visitors and guests daily to the local attractions and beaches with their boutique Vacation Rental Management company and to the delight and smiles of all, shares their tasty treats lovingly created by Okaloosa Donuts.

The ambition and drive to be an entrepreneur always tugged at CareySue’s heart! And hosting visitors to the beautiful Emerald Coast was a perfect fit. Easy Vacation Services was born from that very desire. Proudly employing 5 full time staff and 6-10 part time team members who service the more than 50 beach vacation rentals and the tourists that come to enjoy the area.

Who doesn’t like donuts??? The correct answer: NO one! Realized from a crazy “what if” conversation on the beach, CareySue & Paul took the leap into the wacky world of Donuts. Enlisting the energy and expertise of their son Alex, who moved to the area to support the family businesses in 2018, they embarked on their second small business adventure.

CareySue spent her last years in the healthcare industry specializing in Catastrophic Rehab including traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and strokes. She was a Certified Rehabilitation RN (CRRN), a Certified Oasis Specialist – Clinical (COS-C) and a certified brain injury specialist (CBIS) when she retired from nursing. Earlier years in the healthcare field included being a Geriatric Care Manager (specializing in the senior population) and in pediatrics. While a Community Nurse and School Nurse, CareySue worked collaboratively with the local Fire Departments and Recreation Centers on public safety education and outreach.

CareySue fulfilled her lifelong dream of living on the beach when she moved to Okaloosa Island in 2010. The sugar white sands and friendly faces that welcomed her, instantly made it feel like home. She has since relocated her parents and her son to the area. Excitedly, she will be welcoming into the world her first grandchild in late 2021.
